Our team has successfully passed the exams for BIM Specialist (ARC, CIV, MEP), BIM Coordinator and BIM Manager, as per UNI regulations11337-7. Specifically, nine collaborators of our company and the engineer Stefano La Motta (partner and BIM Manager) have been successfully certified.

 

The processes behind the BIM require technical and IT skills and therefore the use of new key figures with multidisciplinary skills. This required a strategic change within our company.

The traditional figures were those of the project manager and of the designer. With the introduction of BIM, this net division no longer exists, because, as a matter of fact, the project manager is also a designer. This change required an appropriate training of our designers, in order to prepare them to better face this new challenge and acquire new skills.

Furthermore, it was necessary to study new production processes, linked to BIM, as well as to identify new figures that managed these processes. These include new roles such as those of the BIM manager, the BIM coordinator and the various BIM specialists. 

 

The strategic change has been profound. The introduction of BIM is a very interesting challenge, that can bring professional and human growth.
