The Portello New Convention Centre, a work of 50 million euros, will give Milan the most important congress structure in Europe. It is going to have 18000 seats, an auditorium for 1500 people, a plenary room for 4500 total seats, 73 modular rooms going from 20 to 2000 seats and 54000 sq-m of exhibition area. Already in 2011 the Portello New Congress Centre will give Italy the biggest congress centre in Europe.

The Portello redevelopment fits harmoniously in that wider transformation process of the north-west area of Milan together with that of the nearby quarters. Thanks to the increasing of the square in front of the new congress centre and to the exploitations of the sidewalks to the “STECCA”, it will establish the basis for the new green ray between the City Life Park – Stella Mountain – and the Expo area.
